Since 2011 the District 61 Educational Foundation has given to classrooms over $65,000 in curriculum enhancements.  Last year’s annual grant projects included the family reading programs One Book, One School at Eisenhower Junior High School and Lace Reads Together  at Lace Elementary School.  During the school year mini-grants sparked to life seven teacher-generated programs including “Chirping Chicks”, “March Madness Tournament of Books”, and “Ready, Set, Write!”
